Curriculum

Grades K-8

Curriculum for grades K-8 includes Bible, Language (English, Reading, Spelling), Handwriting, Math (Saxon), Social Studies (Scott Foresman), Science, P.E., Music and Art (Arts Attack). Textbooks for Bible, Reading, and Science are published by the Seventh-day Adventist Educational System. Other textbooks from national publishing companies are chosen by the North Pacific Union Conference Curriculum Committee to comply with the philosophy and values of the Seventh-day Adventist educational organization.

Students also participate in an online reading program called Reading A to Z and Raz Kids.

Key Learnings for K-8

Grades 9 and 10

The curriculum for grades 9 and 10 includes Bible, Math, English 9, Literature 10, Keyboarding/Computer Literacy, Publishing, Essential Living Skills, Physical Science, Art and P.E. The ninth and tenth grade program is fully accredited with endorsed or certified teachers instructing in all core curriculum subjects.

The credits received for ninth and tenth grade are recorded on a transcript by the Oregon Conference of Education and transferred to the school where the student will next attend.

While we attempt to be flexible with class offering, our small school size prevents us from making many exceptions. Please take our available curriculum into consideration when deciding if we will meet the needs of your student.
